𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧: 𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
𝐀𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭
A plan is being implemented for the forced evacuations in Balochistan and to force the population to live as internally displaced persons (IDPs). This broader plan has been adopted previously in different parts of Balochistan where the people were displaced and were forced to leave their houses and forebears. It is now being implemented again in different parts of Balochistan including Shadi Kaur and Mastung areas. Such plans have always been practiced against the oppressed and colonised nations by the colonial rulers like the Pakistani state. The Baloch nation has been facing such violence and oppression since 1948 by the Pakistani coloniser.
The recent forced evacuation is typical of that of the Gaza-type internally displaced persons (IDPs), where the population has been forced to live in camps rather than in their own houses. This is one of the most alarming barbarism being carried out against the Baloch nation. The situation is very serious and severe where people are being forced to leave their villages, land and property and continue their lives in camps. Their belongings are being confiscated and they are facing serious violence from the Pakistani state security forces. The people have been told that they have to leave all their properties including agriculture, livestock and assets and migrate from their ancestral lands.
The forced evacuation is not only displacing the people from their houses, but destroying their lives and peace. This means that the people will lose their ancestral land and property and the security forces will bulldoze everything the people had owned. The Pakistani security forces will establish their monopoly and control over the region and violently attack the people of the area with impunity. In Balochistan, the Pakistani state, in trying to deter the Baloch national liberation struggle, has always committed brutality against the civilians. Now, the same forced evacuation of IDP is the continuation of such atrocities against civilians. The security forces have never been able to prevent the attacks being carried out by the freedom fighters, so in retaliation the army has launched brutal operations against the innocent civilians.
The recent statement by the Pakistani Army Chief in an Islamabad workshop on military operation in Balochistan is the latest example of violent extremism against the Baloch nation. The army chief has said that the parliamentary parties and their leadership have to advocate for the grand military aggression against the Baloch and forced evacuation, if they want to continue their seats in parliament houses, not otherwise. The same threat was endorsed by Dr Malik Baloch (head of pseudo National Party), who was a participant in that workshop. Similarly, the puppet CM of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, in his speech said that the people of Mastung either leave their villages and live in camps as internally displaced persons (IDPs) or destroy their orchards and agricultural lands. These threats from the Pakistani army chief, Pakistan’s Prime Minister and puppet CM of Balochistan are clear evidence of violence, barbarism and brutality, which the civilised world must answer.
Balochistan is already facing bombing by the Pakistani security forces in many regions including Nushki, Kharan, Kech, Chaghi, and the recent attacks on Mastung and Surab. The threat of forced evacuation will further escalate the military aggression against the civilian population in Balochistan with large-scale massacres. This same pattern has been observed in 2013 where civilians were forced to live as internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Awaran, Kech, Khuzdar, Bolan,Gwadar and Panjgur. Apart from this in the first decade of 2000, a mass migration of Mari and Bugti tribes of Baloch nation were seen. People were forced to leave their ancestral lands, and they were forced to live refugees life in neighbouring region including Afghanistan-annexed Baloch lands. While a large number of Baloch people are living refugees lives in Iran-annexed Balochistan. Now again the same pattern is repeated across Balochistan with more aggression than before.
In this case, the people of Shadi Kaur have been forced to flee and the people of Mastung and Nushki are being threatened to evacuate as soon as possible. This is an open threat and a national genocide of the Baloch people, if the world does not hold the Pakistani state accountable they will be equally responsible for the mass destruction, massacre and Baloch genocide. This is not only a forced evacuation but also a threat to our national existence and an intimidation of our national genocide. This will deprive the people of their rights, forefathers’ property, land, assets, agriculture, and most importantly their own houses which they have built through their struggle and great expense. All their property will be destroyed and confiscated at once by just an ordinary order of two to three Punjabi men. Who in their luxury houses will decide to evacuate the Baloch population from their houses and to make them live in camps as internally displaced persons (IDPs). The Baloch nation must now know their threatening intentions and their evil plans for the evacuation, as it is never done for the general will of the Baloch, but for the economic and geopolitical interests of the Pakistani state.
