The Pakistan’s false and fabricated claims over Surab airstrike-The fact check

The Pakistan’s false and fabricated claims over Surab airstrike.

The fact check

On the night of 12 August 2026, the village of Gundan, Gidar in Surab was subjected to an aerial attack by four Pakistani fighter jets, with four bombs striking residential areas and destroying several homes. More than 27 civilians were killed, including children, women and elderly people, while dozens were injured; several injured people were taken to nearby hospitals, while some bodies were taken into military custody and kept away from their families. The Surab incident cannot be reduced to a routine security operation: the central fact requiring scrutiny is the bombing of a populated civilian area and the resulting deaths of ordinary Baloch families. This incident also comes within a much longer pattern of  bombardments and military operations in Balochistan, including attacks previously in Kohlu and Dera Bugti, Mashkay, Bolan and surrounding areas, Panjgur’s Sham-e-Sar in January 2024, and Zahri in September 2025.

While, everyone is witnessing the reality, The Pakistani military’s ISPR, presents an entirely false account. Bogus claims from ISPR declare that militants in Surab were preparing explosives to be fitted into a vehicle when the explosives prematurely detonated, killing eight militants; additional explosives  caused further blasts that killed three nearby civilians, after which security forces and police conducted a clearance operation and killed another ten militants, bringing the claimed total to 18.

These lies raise concerning questions, how did  so-called ISPR knew the militants were preparing explosive and it detonated?

Among the claimed killed militants, where are their identifications?

Where is the footage of these claims and so-called operation?

Where are the killed Pakistani soldiers footage and evidence?

Why the media persons are not allowed to visit the area?

These questions can tell the real story on Surab bombardment incident. There’s no any evidence of those claims by Pakistan’s so-called spokesperson. The local population is well aware what happened in Surab.

Moreover, the puppet Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s statement does not even reproduce the ISPR’s explanation: while praising the “elimination of 18 terrorists” and calling it evidence of the forces’ professionalism. Is killing innocent children, women and elderly during their sleep and destroying homes, the professionalism of Pakistan’s military?

This is pure crime, genocide and the hatred of Pakistani state towards the Baloch people.

The immoral state of Pakistan must be accountable for the destruction of civilian homes and massacre of women, children and elderly people. International Communities must take this massacre in account and concern the ongoing Genocide in Balochistan.

Pakistani media and the puppets of its Government keep absorbing the realities of Balochistan through their fabricated and polished narratives. The world media is also a hypocrite because they are only covering the on sided state’s false narrative. The innocent  people Martyred in Surab due to state’s brutal air strike deserve to be identified, their families deserve their bodies and the truth, and the circumstances of their deaths must be independently established rather than dictated solely by a military press statement. The women, children and elderly Baloch civilians were living human, they deserve justice.
